The popular Summer Screen Prints exhibition will return this year, featuring newly commissioned, contemporary works by some of the best and brightest artists and illustrators from the UK and abroad. The exhibition sees screen printing publishers Print Club London collaborate with Film4 Summer Screen at Somerset House to curate a series of limited edition, signed screen print posters, eclectic line-up of cult classics and critically acclaimed new releases. programme, taking particular scenes, quotes, or characters from their selected titles as inspiration.

Print Club London has hand-picked an assortment of artists working across a range of styles to design 200 limited edition hand-printed posters, available to buy exclusively from the exhibition at Somerset House as well as online via the Print Club London website for £50.

This years line-up of 15 gifted artists includes renowned French illustrator Lucille Clerc, who recently rose to international acclaim following the Charlie Hebdo tragedy for her work entitled ‘Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow’. Clerc will be designing a poster for the opening night premiere Gemma Bovery. Also showcasing new work will be prominent street artist RYCA who will reinterpret the poster for cult classic Withnail & I and illustrator Ben Rider.

True Romance and celebrated artist Rose Blake will bring her bold, playful style which lends itself to the romantic tragedy West Side Story, her favourite film.

For 2015, Film 4 Summer Screen is proud to present their first screening of the Studio Ghibli mast erpiece Princess Mononoke, which extraordinarily talented draughtsman Joe Wilson has chosen to illustrate. With his exceptional hand-drawn style, fusing traditional and contemporary elements, and his proven track record illustrating Studio Ghibli films, Wilson is the ideal choice to bring this beloved classic to life.
