Company Results

Card Factory have reported an 8.0% increase in revenue for the six months to 31 July 2015. Like-for-like sales increased by 2.7% for the same period.

Hobbs have reported a 0.3% increase in sales to £112.1m for the year to 31 January 2015. Pre-tax losses were reported at £15.6m for the same period. (Source: Retail Week)
John Lewis have reported a 0.6% decrease in sales for the week to 08 August 2015. Fashion sales increased by 2.9% while both Home and Electricals & Home Technology sales decreased by 2.3%. Sales at johnlewis.com increased by 8.0%.
Lookers have reported a 9.0% increase in revenue to £1.7bn for the six months to 30 June 2015. Profit before tax increased by 6.0% to £39.9m for the same period.
New Look have reported a 4.3% increase in total group sales to £369.8m for the 13 weeks to 27 June 2015. Group like-for-like sales increased by 4.1% while UK like-for-like sales increased by 4.1% for the same period. E-commerce sales increased by 38.7% while profit before tax increased by 9.0% to £19.3m.

ScS have reported a 1.4% increase in like-for-like sales for the 26 weeks to 25 July 2015. Additionally, the retailer also reported a 5.0% increase in like-for-like sales for the year to 25 July 2015.
Waitrose have reported a 2.0% increase in sales (including petrol) for the week to 08 August 2015.

The British Council of Shopping Centres and Footfall have revealed that on the day of last London tube strike on 06 August 2015, footfall in London’s shopping centres fell by 8.7% compared with that on 06 August 2014. Footfall also dropped on the day before the strike with a fall of 6.4%, as shoppers anticipated the industrial action and associated travel disruption.
