October 12, 2015

Paris Fashion Week is one of the main fashion industry events of the year, showcasing the newest collections from top fashion designers. Held in the fashion capital of the world, fashion week reveals what is “in” and “out” for the upcoming season and shows fashion buyers the latest trends.

London based designer Omar Mansoor showcased his Spring/Summer 2016 collection first time at Paris Fashion week on 3rd October 2015. The collection titled ‘Imperial Romance’ was based around Russian Revolution constructed with hues of white and ivory depicting the peace post revolution. Omar took note of the pre-revolution Tsarist Autocracy, representing this with Faberge imperial eggs inspired motifs, whilst the rise of revolution is communicated with military insignia and caps. The end of revolution peace is shown with white and gold silk flowers.

It was presented at the prestigeous Salons Hoche, off Champs-Élysées in mesmerizing atmosphere where it was well received by the fashion critiques and fashionistas attending the show. Omar Mansoor is known for his fusion couture though the collection presented at PFW was a pret-a-porter.
