Cellar Door partnership with The Tribe London on Global Creative Award 2018

June 13, 2018

From 5th June to 7th June, London’s creative social enterprise THE TRIBE‘s Global Creative Award 2018 took place at Albert’s Club in South Kensington. The award is aimed to nurture, promote and connect talents in music, fashion, dance and art industry. We Cellar Door, as a creative events company focused on music, fashion, art, dance and film, are very delighted to work together with the Tribe London in this Global Creative Award.

We are happy to see that, in this award, models wore designs from the award’s sponsor SKYLENCE–an independent fashion designer brand based in London that focuses on beautifully designed womenswear that combines modern western and traditional Chinese style. Below are the model parade of SKYLENCE’s signature black coats during their ‘London Challenge’ photo shooting.

The designs of these three black coats were inspired by the Royal Chinese clothing dating back to Han Dynasty (206 BC–220 AD). Using strong historic and cultural elements, the designs of these coats also include modern contemporary attributes. Fashion, history and culture are always intersected together.

We are also delighted to meet other designers during this event. One of them is DAOMEY Brand UK, a streetwear brand based in Shoreditch, East London. Their model tried one cultural garment from SKYLENCE and joined the ‘London Challenge’ photo shooting. The design of this jacket was initially inspired by menswear in Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) in Chinese history. In contemporary times this one applies to both men and women. Unisex style is obviously a trend especially in streetwear.
